Christine McCarthy
Smith Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing: Boston State College 1977 Master’s Degree in Nursing: Catholic University of America 1980 Law Degree: Massachusetts School of Law 2000 Christine McCarthy Smith is a native of Boston, Massachusetts and has lived in Manchester, New Hampshire for the past 22 years. She is an experienced trial lawyer practicing in both New Hampshire and Massachusetts, where she has combined her nursing knowledge and legal skills to successfully represent injured clients. Christine brings with her over 25 years of nursing experience which includes obstetrics, pediatrics, home care and rehabilitation nursing. She has taught nursing at George Mason University in Virginia, University of New Hampshire in Durham, St. Anselm College in Manchester, New Hampshire as well as Catholic Medical Center and Elliot Hospital. With Christine’s unique background, she is a frequent guest speaker at legal education programs in the personal injury and medical malpractice areas. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Boston State College in 1977, and went on to receive her Master’s Degree in Nursing in 1980, from the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. She received her Juris Doctorate Degree from the Massachusetts School of Law in 2000. She is admitted to practice in federal and state courts of Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Christine continues to practice in the fields of medical negligence law, personal injury, and social security disability in both New Hampshire and Massachusetts. In Massachusetts, Christine also represents parents and children in care and protection cases through the Committee for Public Counsel Services.
